For insurance plans designated as "in process," the paperwork has been submitted and we are waiting for approval. This approval process can take anywhere from 30 days to 6 months. There are no specific timelines. Until approval is received, the private pay rate applies and we will be happy to give you a detailed receipt for insurance reimbursement if the insurance company allows for out-of-network benefits.
For other insurance plans, many of my clients receive reimbursement from their insurance company, provided the insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits. We do not submit claims for plans we do not participate in, but we are happy to give you a detailed superbill so you can submit to the insurance company for reimbursement.
