Countryside Counseling and it's therapists strive to be an accessible resource to clients. We understands that situations arise in which clients must cancel their appointment. It is requested that if clients must cancel their appointment, they provide more than a 24-hour notice. Timely cancellation will allow appointment times to be offered to another client and will not result in any penalties.
WHAT COUNTS AS A MISSED OR LATE CANCELLED APPOINTMENT?

After a missed or late cancelled appointment, the client is responsible for contacting the main office to make arrangements to pay any late fees and to confirm the next appointment. It's important to confirm the appointment because all future appointments will be deleted until the account balance is zero and/or the client confirms that he or she will be at the next scheduled appointment.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I OWE A FEE?
If a client is assessed a fee, all fees must be paid prior to the beginning of the next appointment.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF I HAVE EXCESSIVE MISSED OR LATE CANCELLED APPOINTMENTS?
Notification of changes, discharges, fees and courtesy letters will be mailed to the client’s address on file.
WHAT DO I DO IF I’M GOING TO BE 15 MINUTES LATE TO AN APPOINTMENT?
If the client is 15 minutes late, it is recommended to notify Amy M Bowen, MA, LPC on her phone prior to arriving at the office. If this is the last appointment prior to a break or at the end of the day then the therapist will not be in the office after 15 minutes.
Please be aware that if the client arrives late, the session will end at the normally scheduled time and will not be extended.
APPOINTMENT REMINDERS
For the client’s convenience, appointment reminders are provided by opting in at the Client Portal. The client may also choose to have the therapist give them a list of upcoming appointments or an appointment reminder card. The client is responsible for missed or late cancelled appointments with or without the convenience of appointment reminders.
WHAT COUNTS AS A MISSED OR LATE CANCELLED APPOINTMENT?
- If a client cancels or reschedules any appointment without notifying Countryside Counseling or the therapist at least 24 hours prior to the appointment.
- If a client misses (No Show) any appointment without notifying Countryside Counseling or the therapist.
HOW DO I CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT TO AVOID A PENALTY?
The client has the option to cancel an appointment by:
- Emailing the Office Manager at [email protected].
- Calling or texting the office at Countryside Counseling at 405-481-6683.
WHAT ARE THE PENALTIES FOR A MISSED OR LATE CANCELLED APPOINTMENT?
Clients with Private Insurance/Private Pay:
- Appointments which are cancelled or rescheduled with less than a 24-hour notification will incur a $40 late cancellation fee. After two (2) late cancellations, the fee will increase to a full session fee of $85.
- No show appointments will incur a fee of $85. The fee must be paid prior to making another appointment.
